De Mon Coeur

Soooo, a new collage! It's been a while! And this one took me quite some time, actually.

Still the same inspirations: religious icons, vintage illustrations, symbols, etc.

Also, I've been truly inspired by Paul Koudounaris' photos in a book I recently bought about early christians martyrs. Lots of skeletons, supposed to be martyrs,were heavily covered with pearls, jewels, gold, and laces. Some of them had their rib cages heart-shaped, with a heart made of wax inside. It's beautiful (maybe creepy. But still beautiful.)

On the banner, is written "Ab imo pectore". It means in latin "From the bottom of my heart".
